The farm grows several varieties of vegetables throughout the year. Fresh from our fields you can choose from: Asparagus, Green cabbage, Pointed cabbage, Savoy cabbage, January King cabbage, Sprouts and Sprout tops, Kale, Runner beans, Fine beans, Pumpkins, Winter squash, Sweetcorn, Broccoli, Purple Sprouting broccoli, Leeks, Parsnips, Marrows and Spring greens. When in season, our asparagus is sweet and tender, perfect for grilling, steaming or, with the slimmer more tender stems, even raw in salads. Raw asparagus has a deliciously sweet, earthy, fresh pea flavour
Nutrional Information: Asparagus is rich in potassium, vitamin A, folate, glutathione, and vitamin K. High in fibre, has no sodium, is low in calories and has no cholesterol or fat.

Aubergines are delicious grilled on the barbecue, in vegetable curries, Moussaka and of course Ratatouille, hollowed out and stuffed with a filling of your choice and roasted in the oven is a real crowd pleaser.
Nutritional Information: Aubergines are low in saturated fat, sodium, and cholesterol. High in dietary fibre, folate, potassium, manganese, vitamin C, vitamin K, thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus and copper.

Beetroot is a versatile root vegetable full of flavour and colour to excite the senses. Not only can it be used to create delicious vegetable tray bakes but used as an ingredient; for juices, cakes and even dying egg shells for ornate food presentation.
Nutritional Information: Not only is beetroot great for boosting stamina and making muscles work harder, it also contains potassium, magnesium and iron as well as vitamins A, B6 and C, and folic acid. Beets also contain carbohydrates, protein, powerful antioxidants and soluble fibre. Three baby beetroot equal one of your recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Also, good news for mums to be because beetroot contains folic acid, which helps with normal tissue growth for children.

We have spent all the years since exploring its history and origins, experimenting with the many different varieties here on "the Island" and creating many garlic infused products

Broccoli/Calabrese/Tiny trees whatever you like to call it, is a statutory essential to anybody’s weekly shop, the UK season starts around mid-May and continues through to October. The Spanish season then takes over for the remaining months.
Nutritional Information: Broccoli is packed with nutrients, such as vitamin C, beta-carotene, folate and potassium. It also contains vital B vitamins and is a source of fibre. Research has shown broccoli can help to lower cholesterol.

Butternut squash, the ideal companion to a Mediterranean tray bake, soup base and vegetable curry.
Nutritional Information: Butternut Squash contains many vital poly-phenolic anti-oxidants and vitamins. It is very low in calories; provides just 45 calories per 100g. It contains no saturated fats or cholesterol; but is rich source of dietary fibre and phyto-nutrients. Squash is one of the common vegetables that is often recommended by dieticians in the cholesterol controlling and weight reduction programs. It has high levels of vitamin A, providing about 354% of RDA. Nutritional Information: Cauliflower is rich in potassium - good for blood pressure, and B vitamins needed for energy. Studies have also found it contains a nutrient called lecithin, which is good for your memory and the healthy development of a baby's nervous system. Biotin, a water-soluble vitamin found in Cauliflower, has been shown to control dandruff. Biotin also helps thicken nails and reduce splitting and cracking.

Nutritional Information: Ginger contains many B vitamins and has been used throughout history to treat colitis, diverticulosis, nausea, gas and indigestion, paralysis of the tongue, morning sickness, vomiting, hot flashes and menstrual cramps. It is said to cleanse the colon and stimulate circulation. It has also been used to treat colds and sore throat. Although ginger can be very spicy to the tongue it purportedly is good for indigestion. It is a safe and effective herb. There has been some research to suggest that it is very effective against motion sickness as well. Ginger helps to promote circulation and is a very mild stimulant. Ginger tea is said to be very effective in preventing colds.
