Stanhill Farm News!
We are pleased to share that a public access defibrillator (AED) has been installed here at Stanhill Farm and is available for the community to use in an emergency. We were delighted that the Mayor of Dartford, Peter Whapshott, and Councillor Brian Garden officially opened our defibrillator a couple of weeks ago. This project was funded jointly by Stanhill Farm and Dartford Borough Council through their Club Together – Grants for great community projects scheme. We would like to thank the council for their support in making this possible. We would also like to thank London Hearts for supplying the defibrillator and supporting us with this important initiative.
As you drive into the farmyard, you will see the defibrillator straight ahead on the end wall of one of our buildings. Quick access to a defibrillator can make a vital difference if someone suffers a cardiac arrest while waiting for emergency services. If the defibrillator is ever needed, call 999 first and the operator will provide the access code and guide you through using it. We hope it is never needed, but we are proud to have something available that could help support the local community.
Jersey Royal potatoes are now available, however, as it is still very early in the season the price is currently high at £12.00 per kilo. This price will come down as the season goes on and more become available. The start of Jersey Royals is always a good sign as it indicates that the weather is improving!
We are currently harvesting rhubarb and asparagus. Fresh from the fields, zero food miles and no plastic!
