Stanhill Farm News!

The Christmas countdown was very busy, with our trees selling out quickly! We were also very busy with Christmas food orders, but everything went smoothly and to plan. We would like to say a BIG thank you to all our customers for your continued support over the past year!

For any marmalade makers, we have Seville oranges available. Seville are ideal for making marmalade, although every bit of the fruit from the zest to the juice and pips can be used in cooking. The season for Seville oranges is very short so make the most of them while you can!

Blood oranges are also now in season. A rather gruesome name for a wonderfully sweet and beautifully coloured fruit. The inside flesh of a Blood orange is usually brilliantly dark pink, maroon or even dark blood red. A fantastic source of vitamin C and rich in other essential antioxidants!

We are pleased to advise that our samosas are back in stock in all three varieties! Traditional Indian samosas, frozen and available in a choice of chicken, lamb, or vegetarian/vegan. The producers have also now added onion bhajis to their range so we had to give them a try, and they certainly didn't disappoint! All priced at £1.75 each or three for £4.50 (mix and match). The perfect addition to your curry or party buffet!

We are currently harvesting parsnips, leeks, sprout tops, sprout stems and kalettes. Fresh from the fields, zero food miles and no plastic!

All of the above are available to buy from both our Farm Shop and Click & Collect Service. Subject to availability.
