Stanhill Farm News!

We have had a very busy few weeks on the farm, with another crazy pumpkin season! It was an extremely wet couple of weeks which made for very challenging conditions, but we are so pleased we managed to battle the elements and stay open every day, apart from the final couple of hours on Saturday 31st when the weather finally beat us! Unfortunately, we had no choice but to close that afternoon, for the safety of our staff and customers. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and would like to thank everyone who came along to the farm for their pumpkins!

Following the most recent lockdown announcement, we can advise that our Farm Shop will remain open, providing we can safely cope with the volume of customers. In the previous lockdown, we had a huge influx of new customers from different areas, combined with the chaos of panic buying, therefore, we will monitor the situation as it happens.

Our Covid safe measures have remained in place. These include social distancing, sanitising, face coverings and limiting the number of customers in the shop at one time. For customers who do not wish to use the Farm Shop, our Click & Collect service is an alternative option. Please click here for details.

Our British grown Christmas trees will be available from Saturday 28th November. All trees are stored undercover and can be de-netted to enable you to view them properly and select the right tree for you. We are happy to re-net your chosen tree and load it into your car.

Christmas food orders can be submitted via our website using our Click & Collect Service. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and the need to limit customer numbers in the Farm Shop, we are unable to offer the option of paper food order forms this year.

We have introduced some new additions to our range of herbs and spices! These include Ground Spice, Cayenne Pepper, Whole Cloves, Garam Masala, Mixed Herbs, Ground Nutmeg, Smoked Paprika, Oregano Leaf, Parsley Leaf, Vanilla Pods, Garlic Salt, and Italian Herbs. All of these are available in the Farm Shop and will eventually be added online to order via our Click & Collect service.

We are currently harvesting Red and Green kale, Primo and Savoy cabbages, Kabocha squash, Purple Sprouting broccoli, cavolo nero, bunched carrots and bunched beetroot. Available in the Farm Shop and via our Click & Collect service! Fresh from the fields, zero food miles and no plastic!

We also have produce sourced from other farms in Kent. Cox and Braeburn apples are from Foxendale Farm in Meopham, and Rainbow chard and spinach is sourced just around the corner from Sheepcote Farm in Orpington.
