Stanhill Farm News!
From the 15th – 23rd February it is Real Bread Week! This is an international celebration of real bread and the people who make it. It is time to kick the additive-laden supermarket loaf habit and support your local producers! Real Bread Week is dedicated to promoting the joys and benefits of baking and consuming bread made without additives, preservatives, or artificial ingredients.
The initiative encourages people to understand the difference between commercially produced bread and the “real” bread made using simple, natural ingredients. We love our daily bread, delivered fresh each morning (except Sundays) by our local bakery and offering a wide variety of delicious loaves including Bloomers, Farmhouse, Granary, GI and Wholemeal, not forgetting soft and crusty rolls.
A big thank you to Dartford Living magazine, for giving us the opportunity to feature in the February edition of ‘Dartford Living Meets’ on page 30! We highly recommend Dartford Living magazine as a great place to advertise your local business, or to find lots of interesting and helpful information about the local area, including events, charities and services! You can pick up a copy of the magazine from our Farm Shop, or click here to read it online.
We still have Blood oranges available, however, Seville oranges have now come to an end. These delicious citrus fruits are very popular, and the seasons are short, so make the most of them while you can!
Magic Star apples are still being sourced from Roughway Farm, Tonbridge. Bramley and Cox are still English but are being sourced from the wholesale market.
We are currently harvesting parsnips, leeks, sprouts, kale, kalettes, and spring greens. Fresh from the fields, zero food miles and no plastic!
All the above products are available to buy from both our Farm Shop and Click & Collect Service. Subject to availability.
