Stanhill Farm News!

It has been a busy time on the farm as we approach Christmas. We had a very successful event on Saturday 2nd December, with lots of festive food tasting and pottery painting. It was lovely to see everyone getting into the Christmas spirit! Photographs from the day are available to view here on our facebook page.

We have some delicious cheeses available, which flew off the shelves at our Christmas event. A firm favourite was award winning Snowdonian cheese, Ginger Spice - a rich creamy Cheddar perfectly complimented by the indulgence of the finest crystalised ginger. Our customers also loved Innkeepers Choice - a cheddar with onions and chives.  Christmas wouldn't be the same without a fully stocked cheeseboard!

Mince pies are available in the farm shop priced at 80p each. More expensive than the pre-packed versions, but there is really no comparison! Delicious and packed full of sweet and juicy mincemeat, also suitable for vegetarians.

We are currently harvesting Purple Sprouting broccoli, kalettes, Savoy, Tundra and Pointed cabbages, Red kale, kale, spring greens, cavolo nero, sprouts, sprout tops,  carrots, leeks and parsnips. Purple carrots will be harvested in time for Christmas week. We are also planting strawberries ready for the 2018 Pick Your Own. The varieties going in this week are Christine, Florence and Malwina.
