Stanhill Farm News!

We hope everyone had a very enjoyable and Happy Halloween! Thank you very much to those who came along to our Pumpkin Patch, for what was our busiest pumpkin season yet! We were delighted to be able to remain open for the whole period, despite some challenging weather at times! However, for the most part, the weather was kind to us, and we enjoyed some lovely autumnal sunshine!

Following the clocks going back last weekend, our Farm Shop opening times have changed slightly for autumn and winter, as follows:

  • Monday – Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm (remains unchanged)

We have had an early collection of potted Norway Spruce Christmas trees. These are 90 – 100cm tall and priced at £25.00 each. The potted trees are grown outside and are more stable in the pot, meaning the original soil is maintained, increasing its survival chances compared to traditional potting methods. All our other Christmas tree varieties will be available to buy from Friday 25th November.

On the subject of Christmas, our Christmas Food Order Forms are now ready to collect from the Farm Shop, should any customers wish to place an order.

We have been informed by our bakery that due to lack of staffing, unfortunately they will be unable to supply us with mince pies this year.

The current supply of carrier bags we have in stock for the Farm Shop are the last, and we will not be restocking once these are gone. The majority of our customers now bring their own carrier bags/bags for life, however, if you usually purchase a carrier bag from us, we would be grateful if you could please start to bring your own. Thank you for your cooperation.

We are currently harvesting parsnips, leeks, sprout tops and sprout stems. Runner beans, courgettes, marrows, broccoli, and bunched carrots (orange) have now finished.

Royal Gala and Magic Star apples are still being sourced from Roughway Farm, Tonbridge. Cox, Braeburn, Bramley apples, and Conference pears are being sourced from Foxendown Fruit Farm, Meopham. Fresh and delicious Kent farm produce! English Russet apples are being sourced from the wholesale market.

Cobnuts, raspberries, and strawberries have now finished.

All of the above are available to buy from both our Farm Shop and Click & Collect Service. Subject to availability.
